INVESTMENT DIVISION


Funding pressure and continued cuts in public education programs have impacted the quality of education available to working class families.  Additionally, attracting and retaining good teachers is increasingly difficult as their salaries don’t keep pace with the rising cost of living.  With this in mind, Learning Links Centers LLC was founded as a socially responsible investment/management company to address this challenge by providing teachers discounted rent in exchange for tutoring the resident children.

The company acquires workforce housing, specifically, poorly managed apartment buildings.  The properties are renovated, and any problem or malicious
residents are removed.  Creating a sense of community in which residents and children can aspire to achieve their potential is important.  A small number of units are set aside for full time school teachers and a resource center/study room managed by Learning Links Centers sister non-profit Educational Advantage Foundation (EAF).  The resource center provides a distraction free, class room setting where students complete their homework before engaging in EAF’s proprietary curriculum. EAF manages the teachers as well as providing resource materials, books and computers for the program, which allows Learning Links Centers to focus on superior, profitable management of the properties.

The Company delivers
market rate or better returns to investors, because residents return the respect we show them by caring for their unit and prioritizing their rent payments!

Learning Links Centers is a socially responsible investment company focused on a double bottom line investments strategy. While all businesses have a conventional bottom line to measure their fiscal performance – financial profit or loss – enterprises which seek a second bottom line look to measure their performance in terms of positive social impact.  By delivering both profits and a positive social impact, enterprises are more sustainable and less impacted by market cycles.

The Company was established in May of 2002, well before sustainability or socially responsible investing became fashionable.  As a leader in the socially responsible investing field, Learning Links has paved the way for other real estate investment companies by proving that with the right programs and systems in place, an investment company can maintain equal, or even higher then, market rate returns while having a positive social impact.

Learning Links Centers takes a very active and high profile approach to each of the buildings we manage.  We make an effort to build a professional relationship with each and every resident, and we make every effort to make it easy for them to contact us.  Furthermore, we train each on-site manager, and stress the importance of how the residents should be treated equally and with respect.

With our 20+ years experience you will have the benefit of knowing that we will be able to increase the efficiency of the building, your cash flow, and reduce your vacancy rates by the following:

    7)  Personal relationships created with vendors through years of experience (i.e. carpet or purchasing appliances)
    8)  Monthly maintenance and financial reporting for our clients
